It’s not just they continually buzz past your face or that they seem to enjoy zooming around your home.

UV Traps
A popular approach, and potentially one of the most effective fly traps, is the UV light. This attracts the flies and other insects toward it as it replicates the rays of the sun.
Once they reach the trap they touch the electrical grid across the light and are electrocuted, instantly dying.
It’s extremely effective but you need to ensure the trap is not situated over anywhere you prepare food unless it has a tray to catch the dead flies.
The best thing about this type of trap is that it can be set up and left to do its thing.
Window Nets
In the warmer weather, most people like to open their windows and let the fresh air in. This is generally a good thing but open windows do also allow flies and other pests to enter your home.
That’s why you should invest in netting that fits over your window frame, while still allowing you to open the window. You can then let the fresh air in without allowing the flies in.
Fly Sprays
These are useful in an emergency, such as when you’ve opened a window and dozens of flies have entered. The spray can be used to instantly kill the flies.
However, fly spray is dangerous when breathed in. It’s advisable to use it in well-ventilated spaces.
Home-Made Fly Traps
Another effective trap for flies can be easily made at home and complements the UV trap.
These traps can be placed inside or outside your house.
You simply need to cut a plastic bottle in half and invert the top half into the bottom. It makes a funnel for flies to get in but they can’t get back out.
At the bottom of the funnel place some cider vinegar or something else sweet. This will attract the flies in and trap them.
Plants
There are a variety of pants and particularly herbs that flies don’t like. This includes citronella, rosemary, and even cedarwood.
Simply plant these near the entrances to your home and even some inside your home. It will help to get rid of flies inside your home.
Don’t forget, if you appear to have a& serious infestation of flies you can always call your local pest control specialist.
They’ll be able to locate the source of the infestation and eliminate it quickly and effectively.
