Make Them Float
What do you do if you have an ugly backsplash in your kitchen that’s completely outdated? You can layer some tiles over it and give it a brand new look. This blogger took tiles she had bought from the clearance isle in the store (they were only 2 cents a piece), and took them home. She layered these tiles over her old backsplash, layering them in a funky way that gave the appearance that some of them were floating. Three years after the project, she still loved the way they looked.
Give It A Modern Color
If you’re sick of the white tile, or the beige tile around your furniture or on your walls, you can give the color a swap by layering new tiles on. Gray is a great color to give your room a much more modern look, while keeping the space looking nice and clean. Around the fireplace may be a perfect area to do this. It would draw the eyes to that space in the room, and make it stand out.
Update Your Bathtub
If your bathroom needs a little sprucing up, you can layer tile onto your tub. This will make the bathroom look finished even more than it already is, and give your bathroom a nice, relaxing atmosphere. Rather than the tub looking so white and drab, you can give it a modern look with glass tile, or even give it a more elegant look with stone tile instead. Whatever you decide to do, it will make your bathroom look incredible.
